The owner of a 2011 Honda Pilot called the Asbury Park Police Department to report that he parked at a convenience store and while he was inside the store, someone drove off with his vehicle.

The Asbury Park PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Pilot.

A short while later, officers from the Ocean Township Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the parking lot of a food store on Valley Road in Ocean Township, where the vehicle was located abandoned and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Honda Pilot in June 2011 at Garden State Honda in Clifton, New Jersey.
