LoJack System Helps Portland Police Bureau Recover a Stolen Ford F350

This Ford F350 was stolen during the afternoon from the owners residence located in the 11200 block of SE Foster in Portland.  The theft was reported to the Portland Police Bureau who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

 

Just nine minutes later, a Portland PB officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen F350 on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

 

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officer tracked the LoJack signal to the 2400 block of SE 115th Avenue where the Ford was found abandoned and apparently undamaged.  The truck was returned to the owner who purchased it as a used vehicle and was not aware it was equipped with LoJack.

 

The LoJack® System was installed in this Ford F350 in December 2005 at Suburban Ford in Sandy, Oregon.
