The owner of a 2010 Honda Accord contacted the Morris Township Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. The customer told the police that she last saw the Honda when she parked it in her driveway about 9:00 PM. When she woke up in the morning she found that the Honda was missing.

The Morris Township PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Accord.

A short while later, officers from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to South Mountain Park in West Orange, where the vehicle was found parked. The Honda was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Honda Accord in February 2010 at VIP Honda in North Plainfield, New Jersey.
