The owners of a 2008 Toyota Camry contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the grocery store while they were inside shopping.
The Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Thirty five minutes later the helicopter crew and officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the helicopter tracked the Toyota to area of 7th Street and Roeser Road in Phoenix.
The patrol officers with PTCs found the Toyota unoccupied in the parking lot of a business that was closed for the night. The stolen Toyota was concealed behind the building and some large box trucks. No suspects were seen in the area. The Toyota was recovered in good condition and returned to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in January 2008 at Camelback Toyota in Phoenix, Arizona.
