LoJack® System Helps New York Police Department Recover a Stolen 2005 Jeep Wrangler

The owner of the Jeep Wrangler parked her SUV by her house where she normally parks it. When she came out for it the next morning she found the Jeep missing. This was in the Richmond Hill section of Queens confines of the 102 precinct. She immediately called the New York Police Department of the 102 precinct.
When the NYPD officers arrived, they took a written report for the stolen Wrangler. This information was then entered by the NYPD in the city, state and federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the stolen Jeep Wrangler.
A short while later the silent LoJack signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) by members of the Queens South Auto Larceny Unit. This was in the Maspeth section of Queens, confines of the 108 precinct. The Jeep was tracked to a commercial section of Maspeth and was located parked. The officers staked the Jeep out for several hours. However when no one showed up for the Jeep the NYPD took it into custody. The Jeep was recovered in good condition with no damage.
The owner was contacted and she was elated that her Jeep was recovered so quickly, saying that it was well worth the money she spent when she had the LoJack installed when she purchased her vehicle.
The LoJack® System was installed in the 2005 Jeep Wrangler in August 2006 at Boss Motors Ridgewood in Queens, New York.
