LoJack® System Helps Tulsa Police Department Recover a Stolen Nissan Altima

The owner of a 2005 Nissan Altima contacted the Tulsa Police Department to report the Nissan was stolen from a residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Tulsa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activates the LoJack® System concealed in the stolen Nissan.
A short while later, officers with the Tulsa PD’s Riverside and Mingo Valley Divisions picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers were able to quickly track the signal to the 1300 block of S. 107th E. Ave. in Tulsa. When located the Nissan was parked at a residence and unoccupied. The owner was notified of the recovery and was reunited with their Nissan. Investigation at the scene of the recovery revealed suspect information that will be turned over to Tulsa PD Auto Theft Investigators.
The LoJack® System was installed in this Nissan Altima in August 2004 at Trophy Nissan in Mesquite, Texas.
