The owners of a 2011 Honda Accord contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 400 block Coleen Street in Baltimore City, Maryland. Investigation conducted by police on the scene found that unknown suspects had gained access to the Honda keys in order to steal the vehicle after it was left running unattended with keys in the ignition.
The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Accord.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda Accord with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Honda to the 1700 block Mooreland Avenue in Baltimore City. At this location, detectives recovered the parked and unoccupied Honda.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Honda Accord in May 2014 at Brown’s Honda City in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
