The owner of a 2005 Mercedes Benz E320 contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report her vehicle was stolen. The owner stated her son last saw the vehicle and the keys might possibly be inside of the Mercedes. The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

Within thirty minutes of the stolen vehicle entry, officers with the Las Vegas Metro PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mercedes and found it occupied with one female driver. The driver was arrested and the Mercedes was recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes Benz E320 in July 2007 at Fletcher Jones Mercedes in Las Vegas, Nevada.
