The owners of a 2006 Honda Accord contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence.

The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Accord.

A short while later an officer from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Honda to 4400 Block of Airline Drive at North Loop 610 where he observed the vehicle in the convenience store parking lot. The officer observed accident damage to the Honda and on follow up call slip was advised the vehicle had been involved in a FSRA (fail to stop and render aid) accident prior to the theft report entry. The Honda was transported to the Houston PD impound lot for processing.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in August 2006 at Lute Riley Honda in Richardson, Texas.
