The owner of a 2008 Cadillac SRX reported to the DeKalb County Police Department that during the morning hours someone found the key to her unlocked SUV without her knowing it was gone.

Within a short time of the LoJack activation a DeKalb County PD traffic unit equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (with the help of the Georgia State Patrol) began to track the silent LoJack signal from the stolen SUV. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Cadillac to a rural area where the suspect had left it abandoned.

A detective was called to the scene to process the Cadillac as there where two other vehicles stolen at the same time and the suspect was believed to have been involved with taking the SRX and the other two.

The Cadillac was recovered in good condition and returned to the owner .The owner was unware that her SUV was equipped with a LoJack® System and was very glad that it did.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac SRX in June 2006 at Colonia Cadillac in Norfolk, Virginia.
