This Infiniti was taken from a used car dealership located in the 2400 block of 4th Avenue East in Olympia. The manager of the dealership observed the Infiniti drive away.

The theft was immediately reported to the Olympia Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

Two Washington State Patrol Cessna aircraft flying south of Olympia along Interstate 5 picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Infiniti was located near the exit ramp at Milepost 88, sixteen miles south of the theft location.

A suspect with a criminal history and outstanding warrants was contacted walking away from the Infiniti. He was arrested and booked into jail. The Infiniti did not appear to be damaged.

The dealer was called to the scene to take possession of the Infiniti.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti QX4 in March 2015 when it was purchased as a used car at Infiniti of Tacoma in Fife, Washington.
