The owner of a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo contacted the North Las Vegas Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen. The owner stated both of their vehicles were parked in the driveway of the residence when one was burglarized. During the auto burglary the offenders located the spare key to the Isuzu and stole it.

The North Las Vegas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Isuzu.

A short time after the stolen vehicle entry, officers from the NLVPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Isuzu with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Isuzu to a residential neighborhood parked and unoccupied.
The Isuzu was recovered and towed from the scene for safekeeping to be returned to the owner at a later time.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Isuzu Rodeo in March 2004 by El Dorado Motors in McKinney, Texas.
