The owners of a 2009 Nissan Versa contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 1000 block S. Hanover Street in the Brooklyn area of Baltimore City, Maryland.
The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan Versa.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Nissan to the 1100 block Mulberry Street in Baltimore City. At this location, detectives observed the Nissan being operated by the theft suspect. Detectives stopped the Nissan and arrested the suspect. The undamaged Nissan was then recovered and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2009 Nissan Versa in August 2014 via Maryland Direct Customer Service.
