The owners of a 2005 Ford F250 pickup contacted the Houston Police Department to report that he was at the construction site dropping off some material. When he finished unloading his vehicle he parked it across the street in a shopping center parking lot. Two hours later when his work day ended he discovered his truck had been stolen.
The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

A short while later officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to an apartment complex at Imperial Valley and Benmar. Auto theft officers set up surveillance and later when there was no activity the owner was notified and the Ford released to his custody. The passenger door lock and ignition had been broken.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F250 in March 2012 at Mac Haik Chevrolet in Houston, Texas.
