The owners of a 2016 Audi A-6 contacted the Fairfax Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 5200 block Winter View Drive in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Fairfax PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi A-6.

A short while later officers from the Manassas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi A-6 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Audi to the 8700 block DeBlanc Place in Manassas, Virginia. At that location, officers observed the Audi being operated by the theft suspect. Police stopped the Audi and arrested the operator. The undamaged Audi was then recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2016 Audi A-6 in April 2015 at Audi of Tysons Corner in Vienna, Virginia.
