The owner of a 2009 Toyota Corolla contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen.  The owner stated the Toyota was parked in the driveway of his residence before going out with his friends.  When the owner returned he found the Toyota was missing.  The LVMPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within a short time after the activation, a trooper from the Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the trooper tracked the Toyota to a commercial yard.  The owner was notified of the recovery and will be reunited with the Toyota at a later time.
