This Subaru Impreza was stolen during the night from the owner’s residence located in the 15300 block of SE 155th Place in Renton.

When the theft was realized, it was reported to the Renton Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Subaru.

Less than ten minutes later, a Washington State Patrol Cessna flying over south King County picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Subaru on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Subaru was determined to be near 128th & Petrovitsky Road. The King County Sheriff’s Office deputies, also equipped with PTCs, received the signal and located the Subaru at a high school parking lot in the 16400 block of 128th Avenue SE.

It was abandoned. The only damage appeared to be to the ignition lock and switch.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Subaru Impreza in July 2004 at Carter Subaru in Shoreline, Washington.
