The owner of a 2014 Land Rover Sport contacted the Edgewater Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their driveway in Edgewater. The keys were in the Land Rover when it was stolen.

The Edgewater PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Land Rover.

A short while later, officers from the Newark Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Land Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Land Rover to Rutherford Street in the City of Newark where the vehicle was recovered parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Land Rover Sport in November 2014 at Land Rover of Paramus in New Jersey.
