The owners of a 2007 Toyota Solara contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 3900 block Biddison Lane in the Hamilton area of Baltimore City, Maryland.

The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the 4400 block Asbury Avenue in Baltimore City. At that location, officers observed the Toyota parked and unoccupied. Detectives recovered the undamaged Toyota and notified the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Toyota Solara during March 2007 by Bill Kidd’s Timonium Toyota in Cockeysville, Maryland.
