The owner of this Ford Mustang discovered her car was stolen during the night from the backyard of her residence in Anacortes.

The theft was reported to the Anacortes Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mustang.

A Washington State Patrol Cessna flying over Skagit County picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mustang on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. The location was relayed to a State Patrol trooper on the ground and Anacortes PD. They located the car at 24th & M Street in Anacortes.

It was abandoned and apparently not damaged. The Mustang was released to the owner.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Mustang in July 2005 by Marysville Ford in Washington.
