The owners of a 2005 Ford F250 pickup contacted the San Antonio Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the motel parking lot where he was staying.
The San Antonio PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

Ten (10) minutes later officers from the San Antonio PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to an abandoned residence near Loop 410 & Culebra. Several personal items had been stolen. The pickup was recovered with minor entry and ignition damage. The pickup was returned to the grateful owner who was unaware his used Ford was equipped with LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2005 Ford F250 pickup in November 2005 by Tommie Vaughn Ford in Houston, Texas.
