LoJack® System Helps Metro Nashville Police Department Recover a Stolen Dodge Challenger

The owner of a 2009 Dodge Challenger contacted the Metro Nashville Police Department in Nashville, Tennessee, to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence in Nashville.

The Metro Nashville PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge Challenger.

A very short time later a Metro Nashville PD Officer, while on routine patrol, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge Challenger with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Officer tracked the Dodge to a residential area of the city. At the time it was located the Dodge was unoccupied.

The owner of the Dodge Challenger was called to the scene where the vehicle was released to them.  The Metro Nashville PD Auto Theft Division is conducting the follow up investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2009 Dodge Challenger in December 1998 by Bob Frensley Dodge Chrysler in Nashville, Tennessee.
