The owners of a 2008 Nissan Rogue contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen during a burglary of their residence.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Three minutes later officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the area of 37th Avenue and Camelback in Phoenix.

The Phoenix PD officers found the Nissan occupied in a parking lot.  The suspect ran on foot and was apprehended by the police.  The Nissan was recovered and processed for evidence.  The Nissan was later returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Rogue in January 2008 by ABC Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
