The manager of a rental company contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that a 2008 Allmand Bros Pro Night Light Tower was discovered missing during an inventory.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the equipment/light tower.

A short while later, deputies/pilots in the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office helicopter picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen equipment with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the equipment to the Fort McDowell Indian Reservation.

The Maricopa County SO informed the Fort McDowell Police Department of the LoJack signal and advised that the equipment was in the area of Highway 87 and Fort McDowell Road.  With the use of a PTC, the equipment was later found in a secured fenced lot.   The Fort McDowell PD made contact with the property security and recovered the Allmand Bros Pro Light Tower.  The rental company was contacted and responded to the scene.  The equipment was released to the rental company in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Allmand Bros Pro Light Tower in May 2008 by Commercial Sales.
