The owner of a 2006 Cadillac CTS contacted the Arlington Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. The owner had a friend over to her house and when the friend left, he took the owner’s car keys and her Cadillac without her permission.

The Arlington PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Later, officers from the Tarrant County Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Cadillac to a house where they found it parked in the driveway.  The house belongs to the suspect.  When officers knocked on the front door, no one answered.  The Cadillac was recovered in good condition but the keys were not recovered.  An arrest warrant for the suspect is pending.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac CTS in May of 2006 by Crest Auto Group in Plano, TX.
