The owners of a 2013 Honda Civic SI called the Fremont Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their driveway.

The Fremont PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Two hours later, the San Francisco Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the San Francisco PD officers tracked the Honda to an Industrial Area in South San Francisco where the stolen Honda was parked abandoned on a side street.  The owners of the undamaged Honda Civic SI were contacted to recover their vehicle.

* 4 days prior to this incident the same Honda was stolen from the owners home in Fremont and recovered several hours later in San Francisco with the LoJack® System!

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic SI in May 2014 by Autowest Honda in Fremont, CA.
