The owner of a 1992 Honda Accord called the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report the vehicle as stolen. The owner stated the Honda was parked in a casino parking lot at the time of the theft.

The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda. Within sixteen minutes, Troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Troopers tracked the Honda and found it parked abandoned about one mile away from the casino.

The Honda was recovered and will be returned to the owner. This was the third time the Honda was stolen and recovered by law enforcement using LoJack. The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in May 2000 via Direct Customer Sales.
