The owner of a 2010 Chevy Cobalt contacted the Tulsa Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a hospital parking lot in the 1900 block of S.Utica in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Tulsa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

A short while later a Tulsa Police Department’s flight crew, in Police One, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevy with the LoJack Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack PTC the flight crew directed ground officers to the 2300 block of E. Newton St. in Tulsa where the pilot and observer spotted the stolen Cobalt parked at a residence.  After maintaining surveillance from the air on the stolen Cobalt for a short time it was subsequently recovered. When recovered the Chevy was in good condition and undamaged. The recovered Chevy was secured until the owner could be notified and the vehicle returned.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Chevrolet Cobalt in September 2010 at Riverside Chevrolet in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
