LoJack® System Helps Tulsa Police Department Recover a Stolen Jaguar

The owner of a Jaguar S Type contacted the Tulsa Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a hotel parking lot in the 8200 block of S. 100th  E. Ave in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Tulsa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

A short while later an officer with the Tulsa PD Mingo Valley Division picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar with the LoJack Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack PTC the officer successfully tracked and located the stolen Jaguar parked on the west side of a motel in the 200 block of N. Garnett in Tulsa. Other officers responding set up surveillance on the stolen Jaguar. After maintaining this for a period of time a subject approached, entered and drove off in the stolen Jaguar. A felony stop was conducted and the subject was taken into custody without incident.  When recovered the Jaguar was in good condition and undamaged. The recovered Jaguar was secured until the owner could be notified and the vehicle returned.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Jaguar in September 1999 at Hennessy Jaguar in Atlanta, GA.
