The owner of the Ford E 350 parked his vehicle by his residence; this was in the downtown section of Brooklyn, confines of the 84 Precinct. When he came out for it he found it missing and immediately called the 84th precinct to report the theft.  The police arrived and took a written report. This information was then entered by the NYPD into the City, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Ford.

Within a short while of the activation, police officers from the 103 Precinct, Jamaica Queens, picked up the silent LoJack signal on their onboard LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that their vehicle was equipped with. This was in the Jamaica section of Queens. They tracked the Ford through various streets in Jamaica, eventually locating the vehicle on a residential street. They staked the Ford out for a short while, however when no one showed up for the vehicle they took it into custody. The Ford was recovered in excellent condition with no damage.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Ford was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the Ford that he purchased the LoJack® System.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford van in December 2014 at Bay Ridge Ford in Brooklyn, New York.
