For the second time in three days, this Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen from the owner’s apartment complex on South 156th Street in Burien.

The theft was reported to the King County Sheriff’s Office who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Tahoe.
Just ten minutes after activating the LoJack signal, several agencies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Tahoe on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Tahoe was located by a King County deputy at a motel in the 18900 block of 47th Avenue South in SeaTac.

One suspect was placed under arrest and booked.  The Tahoe did not appear to be damaged.

The prior theft resulted in recovery by the Washington State Patrol, but the car was abandoned.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Tahoe in March of 2006 at Burien Chevrolet in Burien, Washington.
