The owner of the Honda Odyssey parked his vehicle by his residence; this was in the Central Islip section of Suffolk County, confines of the 3rd Precinct. When he came out for the Honda he found it missing, he immediately called the Suffolk County Police Department and they took a written report. This information was then entered by the Suffolk County Police in the County, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Honda.

Within a short while of the activation, Police Officers from 5th Precinct, Nassau County picked up the silent LoJack signal on their onboard LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that their vehicle was equipped with. This was in the Elmont section of Nassau County. They tracked the Honda through various streets in Elmont, eventually locating the vehicle on a residential street. They staked the Honda out for a short while, however when no one showed up for the vehicle they took it into custody. The Honda was recovered in excellent condition with no damage.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Honda was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the Honda it was equipped with the LoJack® System. Because he knew that if it wasn’t for the LoJack® System his Honda would not have been recovered so quickly, if it actually was recovered at all.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Odyssey in December 2009 at the Hillside Honda in Queens, New York.
