The managers of an equipment rental business contacted the Littleton Police Department to report that one of their rental vehicles had been stolen.   The investigating officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford F-250.

A short while later officers with the Aurora Police Department and investigators with the East Metro Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the area of 1st and Fulton and made a traffic stop.

Two suspects were arrested and jailed on charges of theft as well as unrelated drug charges.  The Ford was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F-250 in November 2013 via Commercial Sales.
