The owner of a Nissan Xterra contacted the Muskogee Nation Tribal Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a South Tulsa Casino.

The Muskogee Nation PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activates the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later the Tulsa Police Department’s air crew flying Police 2 near 5100 S. Yale picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computer the pilot and observer successfully tracked and located the stolen Nissan travelling north bound in the 3600 block of S. Sheridan Rd.  The aircrew continued to follow the stolen Nissan to the 2500 block of S. Sheridan where a felony stop was initiated by several Tulsa PD patrol units from the Mingo Valley Division whereupon two subjects were taken into custody.  The recovered Nissan was later returned to the owner.

The LoJack® Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Nissan Xterra in August 2007 at Midway Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
