The owner of a 2002 Toyota Camry contacted the Howard County Police Department in Columbia, Maryland, to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 6100 block Little Foxes Run.

The Howard County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Camry.

A short while later, officers from the Howard County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota Camry with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota Camry to 4th Street in Laurel City, Maryland. At that location, detectives observed the Toyota Camry parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Toyota Camry was returned to the owner after recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2002 Toyota Camry during July 2002 at Russell Toyota in Baltimore, Maryland.
