The owner of a 2011 Toyota RAV-4 contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 2000 block Woodbourne Avenue in the northeast area of Baltimore City.

The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2011 Toyota RAV-4.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2011 Toyota RAV-4 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the 1500 block Wilmington Avenue in the Morrell Park area of southwest Baltimore City. At that location, officers observed the Toyota parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the Toyota and contacted the owner who responded to the scene and took possession of his Toyota.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Toyota RAV-4 during August 2011.
