The owners of a 2013 Ford Focus contacted the Colorado Springs Police Department to report their vehicle stolen from a downtown street.

The Colorado Springs Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Twenty minutes after the entry and activation officers with Colorado Springs PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford Focus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers quickly located the vehicle.  It was undamaged and was soon returned to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford at the request of the current owner in April 2013.
