The owners of a 2006 Hummer H3 contacted the Plainfield Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen sometime during the night from in front of their home in the City of Plainfield, New Jersey.

The Plainfield Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2006 Hummer H3.

A short while later officers from the Union County Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hummer with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a strip mall on East Front Street in the City of Plainfield. The vehicle was recovered parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2006 Hummer H3, in June 8, 2006.
