This BMW was stolen from a multi-level parking garage at a condo complex in Bellevue.  It happened sometime between the afternoon hours and the morning.  When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Bellevue Police Department.  The report was verified and they entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.
Later the same afternoon, Seattle Police officers picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen BMW on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked it to Union Street in Seattle where it was found abandoned and apparently undamaged

The LoJack® System was installed in the BMW in August of 2010.
