The owners of a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro discovered that their car was stolen overnight from the parking lot of a friend in Pittsburg, CA.

The Pittsburg Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Camaro.

Later that morning, after the automatic activation of the LoJack System in the stolen Camaro, Oakland Police Department officers picked up the silent signals from the LoJack System installed on the stolen Camaro on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the stolen vehicle to South Oakland near the Coliseum.  The undamaged Camaro was recovered in an off-street parking lot.  The owners of the stolen Camaro were contacted to claim their stolen vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro on 1/20/2013 in Pittsburg, CA.
