A dealership in Vienna Virginia reported to the Prince William County Police Department that a 2014 Mercedes 250 was missing from their lot.

The Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

A short while later  a trooper with the Georgia State Patrol picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a parking deck in a business area of Atlanta.

The Mercedes was stolen in Virginia and immediately brought to Atlanta. A detective came to the location to take prints hopefully leading to an arrest in the case.

The LoJack®System was installed in the Mercedes in October 2013 at Mercedes of Tyson’s Corner Virginia.
