The owners of a 2009 Honda Civic LX parked their vehicle in their driveway on a recent Friday evening, and got an incredible shock the next morning when their car was discovered missing. The LoJack® system that the owners had installed when purchasing their car turned out to be an excellent investment. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the Civic in just over three hours after activation.

On June 21st, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Burlington Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Herb Chambers Honda in Seekonk, MA.

A short while later, officers with the Lynn Police Department began picking up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers quickly located the Honda parked and unoccupied at the intersection of Central Avenue and Eustis Street. The Civic was retrieved and soon back in the possession of its rightful owners.
