The owners of a 2015 Mercedes Benz GL300 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen in the city of San Diego. San Diego Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

Within three minutes, officers from Escondido police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes Benz GL300 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 4800 block of East Valley Parkway in the city of Escondido.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes Benz in September 2015 at Mercedes Benz of El Cajon, El Cajon, California.
