The owners of a 2015 Mercedes Benz S63 AMG contacted the Manalapan Township Police Department to report that sometime during the night, his vehicle was stolen from his driveway in Manalapan Township. The key was in the vehicle when it was stolen. The Manalapan Township Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2015 Mercedes Benz S63 AMG.

A short while later officers from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes Benz with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to Keer Ave in the City of Newark, where the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied on the street.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Mercedes Benz S63 AMG in May of 2018 at Deluxe Auto Sales of Linden, N.J.
