LoJack System Helps Glendale Police Department Recover Stolen GMC Sierra Pickup

The owners of a 2015 GMC Sierra 4×4 pickup contacted the Glendale Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The Glendale Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the GMC.

Eight minutes later, officers from the Glendale Police Department, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen GMC with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the area of 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
The stolen GMC was located unoccupied in a parking lot of a hospital. No suspects were observed in the area. Detectives from the Glendale Police Department responded and conducted a surveillance on the stolen vehicle. When no one approached the vehicle it was recovered. The vehicle was processed for evidence and returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the GMC Sierra in July of 2015, at Glenn Jones Ford Lincoln Mercury, Casa Grande, Arizona.
