The owner of a 2004 GMC Yukon contacted the San Antonio Police Dept to report that his vehicle had been stolen.  The owner parked his vehicle at his apartment parking lot and when he returned to it found it missing.   The San Antonio Police Dept verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the GMC Yukon.

A short while later officers from the San Antonio Police Dept picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen GMC Yukon with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen GMC Yukon to 8200 Landing Ave and observed it traveling eastbound.   Officers were able to stop the stolen GMC Yukon and arrest the driver.  The steering column had been damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the GMC Yukon in December of 2005 at Beck and Masten North in Houston, TX.
