A new Toyota Sienna Van was stolen from Palm Beach Toyota.  The dealership notified the Police to report the vehicle as stolen.  The responding Deputy from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® transponder concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later Special Agents from U.S. Customs picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft and began to track the vehicle.  Members of the Auto Theft Task Force responded to assist Customs in locating the stolen Toyota.  The vehicle was located parked in one of the airport short term parking garages and was recovered.   Police investigation into this incident continues.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2018 Toyota at Palm Beach Toyota in Aug of 2018, in West Palm Beach.
