The owner of a 2015 Dodge Challenger contacted the New Orleans Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.  The New Orleans PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge Challenger.

Approximately six minutes after the activation, officers with the New Orleans PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the silent and directional cues from the PTC, the Dodge was tracked to the area of Curran Boulevard and Avalon Way.  The Dodge was found parked and unoccupied in an apartment complex parking lot.

The Dodge was recovered and processed for evidence at the scene.  The owner was notified of the recovery and will take custody of the Dodge at a later date.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Challenger in March 2015 at Premier Chrysler Jeep Dodge in New Orleans, Louisiana.
