The owner of a 1999 Honda CR V parked it in front of his house, when he got up the next morning he found it missing. This was in Eastchester section of the Bronx, confines of the 49 precinct. The details are as follows. He immediately called the NYPD, 49 Precinct. When the Police arrived they took a written report, this information was then entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda and this was done both seamlessly and silently.

Within a short while the signal was picked up by officers of the New Rochelle Police Department, which is just outside the Bronx, in the county of Westchester.  They tracked it through various sections of New Rochelle where they located the vehicle parked on a residential street. The vehicle was unoccupied, so they decided to stake it out. After several hours when no one came for the vehicle was recovered.

The vehicle was recovered with no damage, the owner was notified, and he was elated that his vehicle was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage.

The LoJack unit was installed at Honda of Nanuet, on August 16, 2002.

The value of the vehicle was approximately $1000.00
