The owner of this Ford Pickup contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence by a known suspect. The Fresno Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Minutes after the LoJack was activated, an officer with the Fresno Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the vehicle to the vicinity of Valentine and Olive avenues in west Fresno. The vehicle was located in the back yard of a rural residence. There were several males found working on the vehicle. Officers contacted and questioned the males but did not make any arrests at the time. The case was referred to detectives for further investigation as there were some questions concerning ownership. The vehicle was recovered intact and undamaged; it was released to the owner at the recovery scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in December 2008 by California Commercial Sales Department.
